Waste to RDF Shredding
Ecoster solutions in the Mechanical Treatment of waste as part of an MBT plant (Mechanical Biological Treatment). We divert Municipal Household Waste from landfill, recovering as many recyclable materials as possible before drying and shredding the remaining light materials to make a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). Organic materials are generally sent for conversion to heat and electricity or to create a compost like output.
In an RDF plant, various mixed or pre-sorted waste streams are shredded, screened and separated to generate refuse-derived fuels for all kinds of applications. Cement works and heating plants are the major users.
